privacyIDEA è una soluzione modulare per l'autenticazione a due fattori, in particolare con i token OTP. È multi-tenency e multi-istanza-capace. Grazie alla struttura modulare, privacyIDEA può essere adattata e migliorata rapidamente e facilmente. Per esempio. aggiungere nuovi tipi di token è semplice come scrivere un nuovo modulo lean python. Non è necessario modificare la rete per privacyIDEA, non scrivere nei database esistenti o negli archivi utente. Richiede solo l'accesso in lettura ai propri archivi utente come LDAP, Active Directory, SQL, servizio SCIM o file flat. I flussi di lavoro esistenti possono essere migliorati senza la necessità di modificarli. Usando la sua semplice API REST può essere automatizzato e integrato senza problemi.
L'app per smartphone "privacyIDEA Authenticator" trasforma il tuo smartphone in un dispositivo di autenticazione, che funziona senza intoppi con il backend di privacyIDEA. In contrasto con i classici token basati su smartphone, privacyIDEA Authenticator consente anche un processo di implementazione più sicuro. Oltre all'autenticazione HOTP e TOTP, l'Autenticatore privacyIDEA supporta anche l'autenticazione tramite notifica push.
