Brevent, black prevent, può app-standby (da Android 6.0, non supportato su alcuni dispositivi) o forzare l'arresto delle app senza root, impedire alle app di funzionare a lungo.
Brevent non ha mai brevettato app non presenti nell'elenco di Bervent. Se le app vengono avviate e poi esci (toccando Indietro o giù di lì), Brevent le metterà in standby; se le app sono scadute in standby o scorrono dalla schermata dei recenti, Brevent le interromperà forzatamente. Ogni volta che le app sono in esecuzione senza attività, Brevent le interromperà forzatamente.
Le app nell'elenco Brevent possono essere impostate su "consenti sincronizzazione" per ricevere notifiche o eseguire lavori di sincronizzazione. Brevent non metterà in standby le app "consenti sincronizzazione" e Brevent non interromperà forzatamente le app "consenti sincronizzazione" con notifiche o in esecuzione in background.
Brevent supporta da Android 6 ad Android 13, richiede "Debug USB" o "Debug wireless" (a partire da Android 11) in "Opzioni sviluppatore".
In Android 8 - Android 14, Brevent non funzionerà se il debug è disattivato o l'opzione USB è stata modificata. Se il debug si disattiva quando si scollega il cavo, modificare l'opzione USB. Normalmente, va bene mantenere l'opzione USB come predefinita.
