Tornado Alert is a community-driven tornado early warning system.
Alerts from news sources can take several minutes to appear, and if you lose power you may not have access to the news.
With Tornado Alert, any user who sees a tornado can send an alert to all other users of the app within 20 miles that there is a tornado near by.
Alerts are normally delivered to all users in less than 5 seconds.
In addition to this, users are notified whenever they are in a "Tornado Warning" or "Tornado Watch" area, within 1 minute of the alert being declared.

Release 10:
* Thank you all for helping us find and fix more bugs. Tornado Alert should be much more stable now! If you have problems with maps not showing, try closing and restarting the application - we'll get any remaining issues fixed quickly.

Release 9:
* Many bug fixes
* Alerts are now significantly more accurate
* Upgraded to Google Maps v2

The extra permission required to install are required by the latest version of Google Maps which we use to display tornadoes.
