Su Zero Shadow Day
Zero Shadow è un fenomeno in cui il sole è esattamente sopra di noi e le ombre di oggetti simmetrici e verticali svaniscono. Ciò accade per le località tra i tropici ed è causato dal movimento settentrionale e meridionale del sole nel corso di un anno. Questa app ti aiuta a trovare lo Zero Shadow Day per qualsiasi luogo.
Se ti trovi tra il Tropico del Cancro e il Tropico del Capricorno, in un giorno particolare (uno durante l'Uttarayan e l'altro durante il Dakshinayan) il Sole passerà direttamente sopra la tua testa a mezzogiorno locale. A mezzogiorno locale di questo giorno, un palo verticale non proietterà ombre. Questi sono chiamati Zero Shadow Days o ZSD. Questa app è un aiuto alla campagna del Public Outreach and Education Committee della Astronomical Society of India per celebrare lo ZSD.
