Questo è un widget della schermata iniziale di Android per visualizzare gli avvisi meteo attuali del Servizio meteorologico nazionale degli Stati Uniti.
Puoi scegliere una contea o uno stato negli Stati Uniti (o negli interi Stati Uniti) e sul widget verrà visualizzato un elenco di tutti gli avvisi meteo attuali per quell'area. Se ce n'è più di adatto, l'elenco scorre e puoi toccare un avviso per aprire il testo completo dell'avviso. C'è un'app di accompagnamento che può essere utilizzata per configurare l'area desiderata e mostra i dati grezzi del feed se sei davvero curioso (anche se quella parte era lì principalmente per il debug e potrebbe scomparire uno di questi giorni ora che tutto funziona ). Al momento non emette avvisi acustici (o alcun avviso), ma probabilmente arriverà presto.
L'ho creato perché volevo un tablet sul muro della mia cucina per visualizzare gli avvisi meteo sullo schermo e, nonostante tutta la pletora di app meteo disponibili, non sono riuscito a trovarne una che mostrasse qualcosa di più di un'icona (!) su i loro widget per gli avvisi e dovevi fare clic per scoprire cosa fossero. Alcuni di loro inserirono gli avvisi nella barra delle notifiche, ma non era molto meglio. Quindi questo mostra un elenco degli avvisi correnti direttamente sul widget e questo è l'unico scopo del widget.

* Major overhaul of the Alert Detail screen, it now pulls some key information out of the alert and puts it in cards at the top for easy access.* Material 3 design for the main app screens.
* Lots of new icons for more event types (fewer generic NWS logos!)
* "Advisory" events are now orange, to indicate they're more important than a Watch (yellow) but less important than a Warning (red).
* Many other changes - check the Change Log from the About screen in the app.
