TAP: music player for kids is a free, ad-free child-proof music player with parental controls and a built-in child lock (kiosk mode). Turn an old Android phone or tablet into a dedicated music player for toddlers and young children — even those who can't read yet!
Important: The child lock (kiosk mode) works best on devices running Android 5–10. On newer Android versions, system restrictions may limit how effectively the app can prevent children from leaving the player.
Your kids want to choose their own music? Add songs, stories, audiobooks or online audio streams to TAP, assign pictures to tracks, and switch to Child Mode. That's it! Your child can now choose and play their favorite audio simply by tapping pictures — no reading or complicated menus required.
Key features:
✔ Child lock (kiosk mode): Helps prevent children from leaving the music player, opening other apps, making phone calls, or changing device settings.
✔ Picture-based music player: Pick and play a track by simply tapping its picture. Another tap pauses playback. Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers who can't read yet.
✔ Parental volume controls: Limit the maximum volume of each track or folder individually, or set a fixed volume that cannot be changed in Child Mode.
✔ Offline and online music: Play your own audio files stored on the device or add audio streams from the Internet.
✔ Kids' music and radio: Browse a curated catalog of online tracks and radio stations for children, with search and filtering.
Other features:
★ Simple, kid-friendly interface with parental controls
★ Hide playback controls to make the interface even simpler
★ Easily change playback order by dragging and dropping tracks/folders
★ Group tracks into folders
★ Exit Child Mode using a PIN code or fingerprint scanner
★ Get images from Gallery, Camera, or web search
★ Lock-screen playback controls
★ Includes a few children's songs, sounds, and a story
★ Auto-pause when the device is not shaken or after a long period of continuous playback
★ Remember track playback position after restarting the app
★ No ads!
The tracks included with the app are:
• Songs: "The A.B.C.", "The Finger Family", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Mary Had a Little Lamb"
• Story: "The Gingerbread Man", courtesy of http://storynory.com
