Put your own photos on heads and tails. Pick an image, frame it with pan, zoom, rotate and mirror, and your coin joins the picker pinned to the top of your favorites. It's ringed in the same colors the app writes HEADS and TAILS in, so any picture still reads as a coin — switch the ring off if you photographed an actual coin.

Turn it on and a run of identical results counts up beside the result: HEADS ×7. Your longest run for each side is kept in Settings. Streaks survive a restart, because the whole point is holding your run up to somebody hours later.

Yes, this is the same app, from the same developer, signed with the same key it had in 2011. Simple Coin Flip has been torn down and rebuilt twice since — once in 2023 as a Modern Android Development app, and again in 2026 with an AI pair programmer doing the typing. It is still, fundamentally, an app that shows you a picture of a coin. It is still free, still no ads or unsafe permissions, and still open source.
No Android Wear support. I'm not interested in it anymore. Go buy a G-Shock, you'll be happier.
No more add-on packs, either. Google eventually realized that an official API for loading resources out of any app on your phone was not great for privacy, and removed it. If you bought the Simple Coin Flip Mega Pack back in the day, thank you — every state quarter that was in it now ships in the app for free.
