Stunning Graphics

From the start of the game I can tell Superprism puts a lot of work on its art design from the appealing art with all animated characters. The sceneries, characters and menus are all beautifully designed which makes playing this game really enjoyable. There are plenty of stories during each chapter, and you can skip them if you don’t want to waste time watching. But I suggest you read it through as it is connected with the whole story and helps you to know better about your Radiants and the world.

Fast-Paced Gameplay

In ILLUSION CONNECT you play as a leader and your goal is to recruit Radiants, the vibrant shojo characters, and assemble them into your squads to win the real-time battles against the enemy called the Nightmares. Each battle costs 6 Stamina to start, and 5 Stamina will be returned if you lost the battle. Winning each fight earns you gold, nightmare bottles, experience and other rewards to help you unlock more Radiants.

The fast-paced combat is just one part of the game. If you want to take a break from the battle, you can use the auto-battle feature to let your Radiants fight themselves.

ILLUSION CONNECT is voiced by an All-star cast from Japanese famous voice actors. These well-known artists have already participated in many other great mobile games including Ai Kayano (Final Fantasy XIV), Risa Taneda (Dragon Quest 8), Maaya Uchida (Genshin Impact), Yumi Hara (Tekken 7), Haruka Tomatsu (Breath of Fire 6), Aoi Yuki (Pokemon Sword and Shield), Hitomi Nabatame (Soul Calibur VI), Takehito Koyasu (Bayonetta 2), and Kae Oki (Digimon).

Recruit 50 Radiants

There are 50 different Radiants each with their own unique personalities and backgrounds. Through the combat and gameplay you need to collect as many Radiants as possible to help you pass the quests.

Different Radiants are in different classes. There are attack, defense, guard, sorcerer, summon and many other different classes of Radiants for you to choose to form the strongest team on the battleground. The defense and healing classes are very helpful to defend the enemies’ attacks and recover your HP during fight.

You can upgrade your Radiants’ levels in the Partner List. Each Radiant can be upgraded to Level 15 at most, but can be upgraded to higher levels after you Link them.

After you collect enough shards of the Radiants, you can upgrade their Lens and even bring them to SSR. After you upgrade Lens, you will get a chance to unlock a SR or SSR Radiant as reward.

Build Your Dream Home

Besides the fast-paced combat, you can also have fun in your dream home. There you can put a lot of decorations in different rooms to receive more rewards. In the meantime, you can learn more about your Radiants’ backgrounds, personalities, hobbies, and daily experiences.

To make your dream home a better place for entertainment and relax, you can upgrade the items and furniture. As you level up, you can build more structures in the home and unlock more rooms and features in the home. And you can put your Radiants to any room to increase their intimacy every day.

As the start of ILLUSION CONNECT gameplay, you will get a Newbie Bonus of ten gacha pulls including an SSR partner. Logging in on eight consecutive days also brings you extra rewards as well. Each day you will get diamonds, equipments, a “Redhood” skin for Nina and an SSR partner.

And there is Anna’s Gift waiting for you, where you can earn diamonds, gold, Exp and SSR gears every time you clear a stage.

Conclusion

ILLUSION CONNECT is a generous gacha game as you can get different types of rewards easily after completing different tasks through the game. And strategy is the key to win the battle. You need to balance different classes, abilities and positioning in your team so they can take out the most powerful damage to the opponents. The storyline, graphic designs and the gameplay are all great, but sometimes I came across the server lagging that cost my failure in the battles. Hope the developers can fix this problem for better gameplay experience.
