GODDESS KISS: O.V.E Review

Flero Games recently launched Goddess Kiss: O.V.E, a new gacha RPG on mobile worldwide. This RPG is based on a light novel and set in a post-war world where a genetic mutation outbreak showed up and the only thing can stop them from destroying the world are O.V.E, the anime girls who hunt and kill monsters.

Graphics & Animations

Goddess Kiss: O.V.E features well-designed graphics and animations. All Oves characters have different appearance and outfit with different styles, no matter you like cute, cool or humorous girls, you can find one here. 

And you can also customize the background scenario for different characters to match their personalities. During the battle, you can enjoy Oves’ dynamic and intense battle actions and their colorful skill scenes with flashy animations.

Entertaining Story

Goddess Kiss: O.V.E has a fun storyline and plenty of interesting dialogs between different characters. You can simply watch their conversations like reading a webtoon while going through the whole story. The dialog settings are very useful too. If you don’t want to tap the screen to continue the conversation, you can click on the auto button and the dialog will keep going on automatically. You can also remove the dialog UI and take screenshot for the beautiful characters only.

Recruit 100+ Oves

There are over 100 Oves that you can collect in the game. Each character in Goddess Kiss: O.V.E has their unique types and skills to take different positions in the battle, and also has different star ratings. For example, Nella is a magical type Ove who’s efficient for overpowering enemies just like the offensive type, while Sophia is a restoring type Ove who restores allies’ strength and power. You can upgrade your Oves in many ways from strengthening their skills to boosting up their weapons.

Before each battle starts, you can assign your team with up to 5 Oves based on their skills and types so they can beat the enemies more efficiently and cause less damage on your own team. If you are not good at choosing Oves, you can use the auto assign option so the game will build the team automatically for you. Each Ove shows up in an adorable ‘chibi’ form during battles. After winning each battle, you will get one to three stars according to the missions you cleared. The more Oves alive, the more stars you earn.

You ‘ve even got a Room feature which can help your your Oves to increase their EXP by putting them in the room and providing them with snacks. You can also customize the Room with different furniture and putting them in different positions of the floor.

Multiple Battle Modes

Besides assigning your Oves to fight over 300 stages in Adventure Mode, you can also unlock many other game modes in Goddess Kiss: O.V.E. In the Boss Dungeon, you can practice you Oves’ skills against giant enemies and earn new weapons as a reward. Beyond the PVE mode, there are also PVP battles including All Star Battle, New Star Battle and Guild for you to play with fellow players.

Conclusion

Overall, Goddess Kiss: O.V.E is a well-designed free gacha RPG with entertaining storylines and beautiful character designs and animations. The gameplay is not very difficult but you might need some farming to level up. However, the microphone permissions required at the beginning of the game has annoyed quite a lot players, and I have encountered the freezing problem like some of the players from Google Play Store reviews.
