PTSD Coach Denmark is an app that caters to people who have, or might have, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The app gives the user knowledge about PTSD, information about professional treatment, the opportunity to measure the degree of symptoms of PTSD and monitor access to find help and support as well as useful tools to help the user to handle the challenges of everyday life with PTSD.
Among the tools available include various relaxation exercises and inspiration for pleasurable activities as well as to new ways of thinking. The user can customize the tools based on their own wishes and make use of own contacts, photos and music. The app can be used by people who are being treated for PTSD, and people who are not in treatment.
PTSD Coach was originally developed by VA's National Center for PTSD and DoD's National Center for Telehealth & Technology to US users.
This Danish edition, PTSD Coach Denmark, is adapted from American and developed for Danish users at the Department of Psychology, Aarhus University, with support from the SAFE Fund.
