From Kinshasa to Goma, from the shores of Lake Malawi to the streets of Dar es Salaam, Congo Radios carries the voices of Central and East Africa into your pocket. Choose a station and let the continent speak.
LIVE RADIO
Radio Okapi (Okapi Congo), Radio Kivu 1, Radio Ngoma and Tongo FM are among the stations waiting for you, all streaming live. When the app opens, the featured station greets you with its artwork filling the screen, and the All stations list puts every other broadcaster a single tap away. The player shows the station name, its picture and, whenever the broadcaster transmits it, the show or song on air, with buttons to share, start the sleep timer and keep it as a favorite, and a You May Also Like strip of kindred stations. Lock your phone, leave the app, walk away: the sound carries on, and the notification shade holds the pause and play controls.
TO-DO LIST
Note each thing you mean to do, tick it when it is done, and let the Eisenhower matrix sort it for you across four tabs: Now (do first), Schedule, Delegate and Later. A My progress tab tells the story of how far you have come. Reminders can be tied to any task, and spending time in the app unlocks a new reminder each day.
FAVORITES
When a station wins your heart, press the heart icon in the player and it joins your favorites, ready whenever you return. There is nothing to register and no address to hand over: the list is kept on your own device and nowhere else.
SLEEP
Eight questions, one answer: the hour to lie down so that you wake between sleep cycles rather than in the middle of one, leaving behind the heavy first hour of the morning. All eight answers feed the calculation and remain on your device; the app sends nothing out.
STATIONS BY COUNTRY
The broadcasters are gathered under four flags: Congo, Malawi, Tanzania and Africa. Choose a flag and you land directly among the stations of that land.
AUDIO GALLERY
When the airwaves go quiet, calming recordings stay with you, in two sections. Flute for Sleep holds Nocturnal Flute, Flute with Thunderstorm, Rain and Flute, Mountain Wind and Flute, River and Flute and Flute Music; Nature Relax holds Heavy Rain, Rain on Trees, Rain on Roof, Seagulls, Wolves and Birds. Every recording carries its own play control and a separate countdown, so you choose when the sound fades.
WATER REMINDER
Twelve short questions build a daily water target shaped around you rather than a printed average, and gentle nudges through the day help you keep to it. What you answer never leaves your phone.
MY GOAL
Put your dream on paper: your name, a sum in USD, the date you aim for, three concrete steps to get there and a motto of your own. From these the app draws the Abundance Check, styled after a genuine check from the Bank of Abundance, with your name as the holder and your signature, plus a card that keeps your motto on its reverse.
SLEEP TIMER
Let the radio sing you to sleep and trust the countdown to do the rest: start it from the player, and once the minutes run out the app goes silent by itself instead of broadcasting until dawn.
MEMORY GAME
Sequential Memory turns cards face up in search of the numbers in the right sequence. Play at three sizes, 1 to 6, 1 to 10 or 1 to 20, race the clock, watch the move counter, mute the sound if you wish, and open the trophy button to admire your best times.
YOUR OPINION
Give stars to every corner of the app (Home, Categories, Audio gallery, To-Do List, My Goal and Memory), a single vote per person, and see how the whole community voted. A message box is open for your ideas on improving the app, and it asks for neither a name nor an email.
A word of honesty: Congo Radios is an independent guide to radio streams that are already public from Congo, Malawi, Tanzania and other African nations. The broadcasters themselves have no connection with this app.
