MLOL Reader is MLOL's reading and listening app: it allows you to borrow ebooks and audiobooks from your library and is available for desktop (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and mobile (iOS, Android).
If your library is a member of MLOL (find out more here: https://www.medialibrary.it/home/index.aspx), you can request credentials from the library to use this app and access a large catalog of ebooks and audiobooks from all major Italian publishers for free.
The new 2026 version of the app features an enhanced Homepage, which includes information about your loans, personalized suggestions, and links to discover interesting sections of the catalog. All the ebooks and audiobooks you've downloaded to your device are then collected in your Library.
With MLOL Reader, digital lending has never been easier: borrowing a resource from the MLOL catalog is now simpler and more intuitive, thanks to a process designed to reduce the number of clicks and simplify the user experience.
With the new version of MLOL and the app, you can renew an ebook loan for 7 days (thus increasing the loan period to 21 days) or return it early to make it available to other readers.
Designed for reading ebooks and listening to audiobooks, the MLOL Reader app offers an improved experience thanks to new features and optimizations of existing ones. It does so with an accessible ecosystem, capable of ensuring independent use for all users thanks to the customization of reading settings or the use of tools such as screen readers and Braille displays.
