Lock Screen is a lightweight, accessible utility designed to help users lock their screen easily without needing to interact with physical hardware buttons.
Designed for:
✓ Users with motor impairments or difficulty pressing physical hardware buttons.
✓ Extending phone hardware lifespan by offering an accessible on-screen locking method.
✓ Quick, ad-free screen locking functionality.
Prominent Disclosure & Accessibility API Usage:
This app uses the AccessibilityService API solely to perform the system-level action of turning off and locking the screen.
• Why Accessibility API is used: The AccessibilityService API allows the app to lock the screen without invalidating biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or face unlock) on Android 9 (Pie) and above.
• Data Privacy: This app DOES NOT collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data via the AccessibilityService API. The API is used strictly to execute the screen-lock action.
Permissions Used:
• Accessibility Service: Used exclusively to perform the screen lock action.
• Device Administrator Permission: Used on older Android versions as an alternative method to lock the device screen.
How to Uninstall:
1. Go to Settings > Security > Device Administrators > Uncheck "Lock Screen".
2. Go to Settings > Apps > Lock Screen > Tap "Uninstall".
