The Christian Bible also contains the New Testament which includes writings about Jesus Christ and his disciples. These are the four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles and the Apocalypse.
The Bible brings together a varied collection of writings (origin stories, legislation, historical accounts, Wisdom texts, prophetic, poetic, hagiographies, letters) whose writing ranged between the eighth century BC. BC and the second century. Known today as the Codex Sinaiticus for the New Testament versions are significantly later than the supposed time of writing. This leaves a vast field of exploration for scholars and historians and poses acute terms the question of biblical inerrancy.
