Kitab Al-Umm is the best book of the grip of law (fiqh) of the school of Shafi'i in Indonesia, this book covers a wide range of discussion of the law (fiqh), and into the early phases of the development of the science of hadith be ushul jurisprudence as a discipline. This book has also become the main reference for the Jurist Syafi'iyyah in composing their works to this day.
