Proofmode aiuta chiunque a catturare e verificare foto e video da smartphone che rappresentano la realtà effettiva. Migliora i metadati visivi affidabili, autentica l'hardware della fotocamera, firma crittograficamente i contenuti e si avvale di notai di terze parti per una catena di custodia decentralizzata e attenta alla privacy.

Crediamo in un futuro in cui ogni fotocamera avrà una "Modalità Prova" attivabile e ogni spettatore la possibilità di verificare e quindi fidarsi di ciò che sta vedendo.
Proofmode è un sistema che consente l'autenticazione e la verifica di contenuti multimediali, in particolare quelli acquisiti su uno smartphone, dal punto di cattura alla fonte fino alla visualizzazione da parte di un destinatario. Utilizza metadati avanzati basati sui sensori, fingerprinting hardware, firma crittografica e notai di terze parti per offrire un approccio pseudonimo e decentralizzato alla necessità di una catena di custodia e di una "prova" sia per gli attivisti che per le persone comuni.
Proofmode supporta lo standard Coalition for Content Provenance and Authentication (C2PA), Content Credentials e la Content Authenticity Initiative.
