I have a goal of taking some of the designs from IR2 to make IR1 better in the long-term. IR1 is a great game in its' ways, but as I've become a better designer and developer in college, the more I think it's a premature game. So far with IR2, the design makes sense, it's fun and purposeful. I'm excited to create a pre-order page soon!
