La Guida alla risposta alle emergenze (ERG) di PHMSA è la risorsa di riferimento per i primi soccorritori durante la fase iniziale di un incidente di trasporto di merci pericolose o materiali pericolosi.
L'app ERG è un prezioso compagno, basato sull'ultima edizione dell'ERG, per aiutare gli operatori ad accedere rapidamente alle informazioni critiche a portata di mano. L'app presenta un elenco indicizzato di merci pericolose, incluso il numero ID associato, i pericoli generali e le precauzioni di sicurezza consigliate.
In scenari pratici, come rispondere a un rimorchio di un trattore ribaltato che espone un cartello DOT, i soccorritori possono utilizzare l'app per identificare rapidamente il materiale associato al cartello e ottenere indicazioni su come rispondere in modo efficace.
