Su Chinese Chess
Xiangqi (cinese: 象棋; pinyin: Xiangqi), chiamato anche scacchi cinesi, è un gioco da tavolo di strategia per due giocatori. Si tratta di uno dei giochi da tavolo più popolari in Cina, e si trova nella stessa famiglia di scacchi occidentale (o internazionale), Chaturanga, Shogi, scacchi indiana e janggi.
Il gioco rappresenta una battaglia tra due eserciti, con l'obiettivo di catturare generale del nemico (re). Caratteristiche distintive di xiangqi includono il cannone (PAO), che deve saltare la cattura; una regola che vieta i generali da uno di fronte all'altro direttamente; aree sul bordo chiamato il fiume e il palazzo, che limitano la circolazione di alcuni pezzi (ma migliorare quella degli altri); e il posizionamento dei pezzi sulle intersezioni delle linee di società, piuttosto che all'interno dei quadrati. - Da wikipedia.
