This certificate is an unfalsifiable PDF document, signed and timestamped by a trusted authority, and has legal value in EU countries.
For instance, when you rent something (a house, a car...), whether as a lessor or a lessee, just take certified pictures before and after the rental to get a proof of the condition of the leased items or properties at a specific time.
This application will also be useful if you have a public site notice for a planning permission : you can to prove its presence at a certified time with a A4-size QR-code label to affix on it.
