মহাগ্রন্থ আল কোরআন মুসলিম-অমুসলিম নির্বিশেষে গোটা মানবজাতির জন্য হেদায়াতের উৎস । কুরআন মাজিদের ভাষা বুঝতে হলে , কোন আয়াত কোন প্রেক্ষাপটে নাযিল হয়েছে তা জানতে হলে কুরআনের তাফসীর জানা আবশ্যক। তাফসীরে জালালাইন বাংলা তাফসীর গুলোর মধ্যে গ্রহনযোগ্যেতার শীর্ষে। কুরআন থেকে হেদায়েত প্রাপ্ত হলে, হেদায়েতের আলোতে নিজেকে আলোকিত করতে হলে কুরআনকে বুঝতে হবে। আর কুরআন বুঝতে হলে কুরআনের তাফসির অধ্য়য়ন করা আবশ্যক।আপনি যদি ফিকহ / ফিকাহ শাস্ত্র নিয়ে গবেষণা করতে চান তাহলে তাফসিরে ইবনে কাসির জানা আপনার জন্যে অপরিহার্য।
মারেফুল কোরআন এটি মূলত আল কোরআন এর তাফসীর। মওলানা মুফতি মুহম্মাদ শফি (রঃ) এর রচিত তাফসীর গ্রন্থ থেকে রচনা করা হয়েছে। অনুবাদ করেছেন মাওলানা মুহিউদ্দীন খান। তাফসীরে মারেফুল কুরআন, তাফসীর ইবনে কাসীর, তাফহীমুল করআন এই সকল বই আল কুরআন এর বিশদ বিবরণ ।

Tafsir Maariful Quran by Mufti Muhammad Shafi Usmani (Rahimahullah) . The complete eight volumes of Ma'ariful Qur'an have been translated into Bengali by Maulana Muhiuddin Khan and published from Dhaka by Islamic Foundation Bangladesh.
‘The origin of Ma'ariful Qur'an refers back to the third of Shawwal 1373 A.H. (corresponding to the 2nd of July 1954) when the author was invited to give weekly lectures on the Radio Pakistan to explain selected verses of the Holy Qur'an to the general audience.
‘This series of lectures continued for ten years upto the month of June 1964 whereby the new authorities stopped the programme for reasons best known to them. This series of lectures contained a detailed commentary on selected verses from the beginning of the Holy Qur'an upto the Surah Ibrahim (Surah no. 14).
‘This weekly programme of Radio Pakistan was warmly welcomed by the Muslims throughout the globe and used to be listened to by thousands of Muslims, not only in Pakistan and India but also in Western and African countries.
In Shawwal 1388 (1969) the esteemed author suffered from a number of diseases which made him restricted to his bed. It was during this ailment that he restarted this work while on bed and completed Surah al-Baqarah in the same condition. Since then he devoted himself to the "Ma'ariful-Qur'an". Despite a large number of obstacles in his way, he never surrendered to any of them and continued his work with a miraculous speed until he accomplished the work in eight volumes (comprising about seven thousand pages) within five years only.
The work consists of eight volumes. This narrative technique is repeated until the end. Below is the list of volumes and their contents:
1st—Sura Al-Fatiha and sura Al-Baqara
2nd – from sura Al-Imran to sura An-Nisa
3rd– from sura Al-Ma'ida to sura Al-A'raf
4th – from sura Al-Anfal to sura Hud
5th– from sura Yusuf to sura Al-Kahf
6th– from sura Maryam to sura Ar-Rum
7th– from sura Luqman to sura Al-Ahqaf
8th– from sura Muhammad to Surat al-Nas.
In the introduction of Ma'ariful Qur'an, the author has mentioned the sources he has taken help from in compiling this voluminous work. Some of them are:
