"Web browsing, just safer"
The successor to the popular WebLock App, SurfSafe is a web browser with an inbuilt database of un-trustworthy and malicious websites. This being the case SurfSafe gives you that added protection when surfing the web with the same features and level of convenience as any other web browsing app.
As well as this Surf safe boasts a dynamic URL filtering system. This means that even if a website isn't in the apps database but it looks particularly fishy then the app will warn you and redirect you away from the website when necessary.
If you want to give this app to a child or you simply don't trust yourself without several websites blocked then you can set a password to the options menu of this app. This means that blocked sites can only be toggled on and off if the password is entered correctly.
In a recent update safety light were introduced to the app. These lights change color from green, amber and red depending on the severity of the situation. Some occurrences where these may change color is when a malicious website is encountered where the user will be redirected to their home and the lights will changed to red.
In memory of WebLock's (another website security app) last update a self scanner feature has been introduced into the app. This feature allows for users to set there own malicious or dodgy websites and then check another entered website or keyword against there list.
The app is free so why not download it and give it a go for yourself.
