A: You Can Get to Snap Map in a Couple of Ways!
In Snapchat, Go to Either the Camera, Friends, or Discover Screen — Then Pinch Your Fingers in Like You’re Zooming Out.
Tap the 🔍 Button at the Top of the Camera, Friends, or Discover Screen — Then Tap the Map.
Go to the Discover Screen and Tap on a Map Story.

Q: When Will My Location Be Shared on Snap Map?
A: Your Location Won’t Be Visible on Snap Map Unless You Choose to Share It With Friends When You Set Up Snap Map. After That, Your Location Will Only Be Shared With Your Friends Who You’ve Chosen to Share Your Location With, and Will Only Be Updated When You Have Snapchat Open.
Q: What Are the 3 Location Settings?
A: When You First Set Up Snap Map, You’ll Be Prompted to Choose Between One of the Three Privacy Settings Below:
Ghost Mode (Only Me): When You’re in Ghost Mode, Your Bitmoji Will Hold Up a Blue Sign With a 👻 Icon. You Can Turn Ghost Mode on and Off, or Set a Timer if You Only Want to Be on the Down Low for a Little While. Your Location Won’t Be Visible to Anyone Else on the Map! Keep in Mind That Snaps You Submit to Our Story Can Still Show Up on the Map, No Matter What Location Setting You Choose. Your Location Won’t Be Visible to Anyone Else on the Map!
Select Friends…: Choose Specific Friends to Share Your Location With! Friends You Select Aren’t Notified When You Choose Them. If a Friend Isn’t Appearing in This List, It Could Be Because They Haven’t Added You as a Friend on Snapchat.
My Friends: Your Location Will Be Shared With All of Your Friends — Including Friends You Add in the Future! This Option Doesn’t Include People Who’ve Added You as a Friend, but Who You Haven’t Added Back. If You Choose This Option, We’ll Check in From Time to Time to Make Sure You Still Want to Share Your Location With All of Your Friends.
