Putting a dash of pastel flavor on the endless running genre, Smashing Rush leaves players with an eerie satisfaction after every gameplay. Cold Soda studios manages to distinguish themselves from the rest by slapping on a stylistic polygonal artstyle over what counts as the usual platforming fare. While the gameplay surprises are few and far between, its pleasing visuals coupled with sufficiently challenging gameplay is enough to keep drawing you in.But if there's one thing that makes you stay, it's the game's diverse roster characters--each offering their own take on the arcade running experience. Run through rooftops with the soothing sounds of your skateboard, roll around a la geometry dash with the wacky polygon, or slice into action as a ninja warrior.
There's 21 different characters to collect, bought randomly with collected coins from every playthrough. See how each of them moves as you go through all of their parkour style levels.
Definitely a notch higher than the oversaturated automatic runner-bunch, Smashing Rush is a worth a look. It has a Provisional PlayScore of 9.22.
