Simple Truss is a very simple, stripped down, app for performing finite element analysis of 2D truss structures. This app uses a very simple interface and provides results as a list of nodal displacements, element strains, element stresses and nodal reaction forces. The code used to write Simple Truss is detailed in the book "Programming the Finite Element Method using Java and Android" published by Glasnvein Publishing. Simple Truss is effectively a demonstration of the code provided in the book. The book is widely available from all bookstores and internet retailers.
