meteo@uniparthenope si fonda su decenni di esperienze nel campo della modellistica ambientale e delle osservazioni in ambito marino e atmosferico del Dipartimento di Scienze Applicate (DSA) e del Dipartimento di Scienze dell’Ambiente (DiSAm) (confluiti ora nel DiST) dell'Università degli Studi di Napoli “Parthenope”, già 'Istituto Universitario Navale (fino al 2001) e prima ancora Regio Istituto Superiore Navale (1920).
meteo@uniparthenope fornisce dati e informazioni sullo stato attuale e futuro (previsione fino a 168 ore) delle condizioni meteorologiche, marine e di qualità dell'aria attraverso servizi dedicati all'utenza comune e/o specialistica, come aziende, enti locali, agenzie territoriali, enti e gruppi di ricerca, corpi dello stato per il controllo del territorio e del mare, associazioni sportive, etc.
