【遊戲故事】
精靈、矮人和人類生活在同一個街道。郊外有片森林和湖水，那不是人類的住所，而是怪物們的巢穴。多數人只能在這條街道上出生，成長，直至死亡。這個年代，他們只能相信自己僅有的一點才能，踏上了旅程，去追求自己的榮華富貴。
他們探索各處迷宮和廢墟來維持生計；以此同時，他們又在遠離治安的地方解決各自糾紛。
他們怀揣著鄉親父老對自由的嚮往，以蔑視的目光錶達對亂世的不滿。人們稱之為探索者。
現在，不管哪個村落的年輕人都決意當名探索者。故事也由此展開了…
