The app gets the cost of your trip from uber and calculates how much you might pay in petrol(or diesel) if you drove instead. Give it a go and see exactly how much you are paying for being lazy and not driving yourself.
The app can also compare cost of ownership for a vehicle vs using Uber over the long term. Taking into account current market value of the vehicle, mileage, cost of fuel etc.
