WPSApp checks if your wifi network is secure connection through WPS.
WPS protocol allows you to connect to a wifi network using a pin number (8- digits) that usually is predefined in the modem, and the Pin's of companies is known or its easy to calculate.
WPSApp use these pins and try to connect and check if your network is vulnerable. using many algorithms for pin generation and some known pins. Also calculates the default key for some routers and allows you to get WiFi passwords that you have stored on your phone.
it's very simple, when scanning networks around you, will appear wifi networks with a red color, these are "safe" networks, they have without/disabled the WPS protocol and its password is unknown.
Networks that appear with a question mark have enabled the WPS protocol but the pin is unknown, in this case WPSApp lets you try out the most common.
Finally those with a green color are vulnerable (most of them), they enabled the WPS protocol and their is known. It may also be that the router has turned off WPS protocol but the password is known, in this case also appear green and you can connect with the key.
To connect with pin you need to have ROOT in your device in less than 5.0 (Lollipop) android versions. to allow you to get the wifi password when you connect successfully to such network, if not, it will let you connect to the network but you can not see the password. Each feature will be enabled or disabled depending on the situation of each terminal.
NOTICE: Not all networks are vulnerable because several companies have updated the firmware of their routers to fix this bug.
TRY IT ON YOUR WIFI NETWORK AND IF YOU ARE VULNERABLE... REMEDY IT . Turn off WPS Protocol and change the password for a strong one.
