World Mahjong rules were enacted in July 1998, and used throughout many international and domestic Mahjong competitions. It took the gambling nature of the popular mahjong out of the game, and increased the number of point types to 81, also enforced a minimum of 8 points winning hand, making it more difficult to win, but at the same time more fun and competitive.
If you want to play with World Mahjong rules, but are not familiar with the detail, or simply cannot remember all 81 rules, this app will provide you a handy interactive reference while you play, and will also help you calculate the total points after someone is winning.
