Each player will start with $1,000 virtual dollars to trade. Just like with trading stocks, participants will buy or sell bets on sports events by placing bids or offers. Each winning simulated bet contract will pay $100 in virtual currency. Learn about probability, a driving force behind financial markets. Bids and offers will range from $0.05 to $99.95, reflecting the players estimate of the percentage probability of outcomes.
EXAMPLE
• You think there is a better than 60% chance that Boston will win today
• You can bid $60 to buy “Boston to Win: Pays $100”. No odds to worry about
• All simulated bet contracts pay $100 in virtual currency. If your bet is matched and Boston wins, you get $100. A virtual $40 profit!
