A player designed for absorbing information. The HandyTube Player enables comfortable playing of instructional and educational videos, lectures or language courses in an user-friendly environment. Save your time and nerves.
1) Jump in the video backwards and forwards by a interval.
2) Jump in the video backwards and forwards by a caption length.
3) Video jump functions available as gestures.
4) Play/Stop function by just one tap in all video view.
5) Work with captions the same as with usual text - selection of words, expressions and their copying or sharing.
6) Captions translation in Google Translate.
7) The caption is displayed outside the video view.
8) Position Marker - continues playing where the video stopped the last time. (For all videos in History)
9) Volume control directly in the application.
10) Rotation lock and prevent the screen from automatically rotation.
11) Video sharing with a link to current playing time.
12) Search results to only show videos with captions available.
13) Well ordered history.
Known bugs:
Double captions
In some videos, standard YouTube captions can be displayed right in the video view. These captions cannot be turned off by the application HandyTube „CC“ button.
Solution:
1) Running the video in YouTube player. (It can be launched right from the HandyTube application.)
2) Turning the captions off in YouTube player.
3) Switching back to HandyTube.
4) Ending the running YouTube application with the help of task Manager. This step is important! That means that leaving YouTube won’t do.
5) The video in HandyTube is without captions.
