7 years have passed now since the first release of DroidAIMS (PRO) in 2012, basing on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) during these days. As the first Flight Crew App, DroidAIMS assisted download and saving of the current AIMS e-Crew Schedule on Android. While the app matured over the years and continuously developed and improved, recent changes of the AIMS e-crew system and Android OS made further developments and maintenance of DroidAIMS more and more difficult.
Consequently, the decision was made to start with an all-new successor app, called DutyDroid, which builds on the latest Android libraries and development guidelines. After countless hours of coding, testing and improving, the final version of DutyDroid for use with AIMS e-crew was published in June 2018.
While it was tried to keep DroidAIMS operational for as long as possible, recent changes to the requirement of Google Play for publishing of new app updates constitute a technical barrier which makes the further support of DroidAIMS impossible (New app updates have to be compiled against Android 9.0, which cannot be met by the old code structure of DroidAIMS, more info: https://developer.android.com/distribute/best-practices/develop/target-sdk).
Therefore, DroidAIMS will be kept available on Google Play in its current state for installation. However, no further app updates will be published and further development work will concentrate on the successor app DutyDroid.

Please note: as the support, maintenance and future development work of DutyDroid is a continuous process, the app requires purchase of a user licence, available as Google Play in-app product.
The step to the successor app DutyDroid was vitally important in order to be able to offer a competitive and state of the art app for the future. While pushing the app development forward and working on new features and functions, we will be very pleased about every user we see back on the new app DutyDroid.

DroidAIMS (PRO) is provided as one time purchase - 'as is' – app in its current state. There are no warranties of any kind. DroidAIMS is a tool which is dependent on other systems (e.g. crewing system) and smallest changes to these systems might render the app incompatible (3rd party development). As this cannot be controlled or foreseen, no kind of operational guarantee or promise can be given. Use of the app might violate with existing (company) policies. The entire risk of use rests solely with the user of the app.

While every effort is made to provide timely technical support no guarantees whatsoever are implied that technical support will be provided or that technical support, when provided, will be accurate. DroidAIMS is basically unsupported and supplied on an 'as is' basis.
