Aiyappan also called Sastavu or Sasta, the offspring of Shiva and Vishnu. Lord Ayyappa is the presiding deity of Sabarimala temple. As Sri Ayyappa represents both Vishnu and Shiva in one Divinity, He is worshipped both as Protector and Deliverer.
