আমাদের অনেককেই দেখা যায় প্রচুর ইসলামি বই পড়েন , বাচ্চা হলে ইসলামিক নামের বই খোঁজেন, নবিদের কাহিনি পড়েন, ইসলামের ইতিহাস জানার চেস্টা করেন, ইসলামিক গজল ও শোনেন কিন্তু কুরআন শরীফ পরেন না,আল কুরআন এর বাংলা জানেন না , কুরআন তেলাওয়াত করতে পারেন না ঠিকমত কারণ তারা অইভাবে কুরআন শিক্ষা করেন নি, কুরআনের তাফসির (তাফসির ইবনে কাসির ইত্যাদি) জানেন নি , কুরআনের বাংলা উচ্চারণ ও অনুবাদসহ কুরআনের আয়াত কে অনুধাবন করেন নি ফলে বিয়ের গুরুত্ব সম্পর্কে আমরা উদাসীন রয়ে গেছি।
পুঁজিবাদী সমাজব্যবস্থা আমাদেরকে আমাদের দীন থেকে দূরে সরিয়ে রেখেছে। ফলে আমরা আমাদের ইতিহাস সম্পর্কে পুরোপুরি অন্ধ হয়ে আছি। আশু এর সমাধান প্রয়োজন।

Allah says in Al quran,
“And among His signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in peace and tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): Verily in that are signs for those who reflect” (al Quran 30:21).
“O Humans revere your Guardian Lord, Who created you from a single person created of like nature its mate, and from this scattered (like seeds) countless men and women. Reverence Allah through Whom you claim your mutual rights” (al Quran 4:1).
The above verses of the Quran lay out the framework for the basis and objectives of marriage in Islam. In the ultimate Wisdom of Allah we are first told that both partners, man and woman, are created from the same source and that this should be paid attention to as it is one of His Signs.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us in many hadith about the various characteristics which one looks for in a spouse and their relative importance and which ones determine success insha'Allah and Allah's blessing on a marriage. Among those hadith:
"A woman is married for her deen, her wealth or her beauty. You must go for the one with deen, may your hands be in the dust! (if you fail to heed)" [Muslim hadis shorif]
"Choose carefully for your seed. Marry those who are equivalent (or "qualified") and give to them in marriage." Ibn Majah hadis and others and it is sahih.
