The Records of the Three Kingdoms was written by Chen Shou of the Western Jin Dynasty and is a dynastic history of the Three Kingdoms period in China. The Records of the Three Kingdoms was originally circulated as three separate books: the Records of Wei, the Records of Shu, and the Records of Wu. It was not until the sixth year of the Xianping era of the Northern Song Dynasty (1003) that the three books were combined into one book.
