Merge everything, craft tools, collect items, and explore all the biomes!

Get it Free

MergeCrafter from Fiveamp is a merge game released on June 11st and has had over half a million installs so far. If you love games like 2048 and Minecraft, you will be riding your hobby horse playing the game. For one thing, you’ll be merging all materials into useful items all the time, just like you merge numbers to make 2048. For another, you’ll be exploring a Minecraft-like pixel world and talking to pixel characters. Simple enough, isn’t it? Next let’s walk through the game and I’m sure you’ll love it.

Merge items

MergeCrafter

Tap, drag and merge. These are all you do repeatedly to grow an oak tree or an ore. But by repeatedly I don’t mean the game is boring. Instead, it is addictive, just as someone said that the simplest activities are the most addictive.

MergeCrafter

For example, you merge three acorn shards to get one acorn, three acorns for an oak sprout, and three sprouts for an oak sapling, and three saplings for an oak tree. If you merge five items, you’ll get double outcomes.

When an item reaches the highest level, it cannot be merged anymore. You break it down and get materials to make new tools.

Craft and refine tools

MergeCrafter

Tools fall into seven categories, and in each category there are multiple items for different purposes. Different tools require different materials, which are usually obtained from merging, dungeon chests or crafting. Oak axes in the Axes category, for instance, are made of oak tree planks (which are made of oak block from oak trees) and used for chopping down oak trees.

To make your tools more powerful, you can refine them with augments on the reforge stone or with abilities on the enchantment altar. A common axe can be made more critical or durable, or deliver more damage in a shorter time after being refined on the stone. The altar endows tools with magical abilities, such as repairing other tools or automatically picking new targets.

Explore dungeons

MergeCrafter

In addition to building the settler’s camp, you have oak and ore dungeons to explore. Though you do the same things in the dungeons as in the settler’s camp: tap, drag and merge, you’ll get rewards to improve your camp after beating dungeons. And unlocking new land is also much easier. The only thing stopping you from earning rewards is energy. It takes at least 10 energy points to start a dungeon, and you have to wait for hours for the energy bar capped 30 points to refill.

Buy & sell items

MergeCrafter

When you are in short of items or energy, go to the shop. There you’ll get almost whatever you need, from tree sprouts to stone rocks to chests, though at a high price. And you can not only buy from the merchant, you can also sell items -- at a discount. Anyway, the shop makes gaming more convenient, so don’t blame him for buying cheap and selling high.

Conclusion

Overall, MergeCrafter is a simple and addictive game that is worth your attention. Its pixel interface reminds you of the smash hit Minecraft, and the gaming resembles that of 2048. But you don’t have to tap your creativity or gather your wits. You can just lie on the couch, dragging an item from one place to another and merging it with others. It’s all about relaxation.

However, one thing that really annoyed me is that my energy was consumed after I was rejected to get into the dungeon due to the lack of tools strong enough. I believe this is a bug and needs to be fixed ASAP, as it takes hours to refill energy. But other than this, MergeCrafter deserves our credit.
